9/11 Memorial Climb

September 5th-7th           Red River Gorge, KY

Our origin began at the summit of the Grand Teton in Jackson, Wyoming, as Eric Gray, founder and executive director, led a group of veterans with service-related disabilities to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the 9/11 attack. Every year we commemorate this date with a climbing trip for veterans to come together, build community, and challenge themselves.
What: 2 day outdoor rock climbing trip for veterans

When:  September 5-7, 2025
Where: Red River Gorge, KY
Who: Veterans who want to work as a team and challenge themselves on an outdoor rock climbing weekend. Additional details:
  • Rock climbing equipment is available to borrow (climbing helmet, harness, and climbing shoes)
  • Lodging provided at nearby ADA accessible lodge. Participants may be asked to share rooms.
  • All meals are provided
  • The trail includes rugged terrain with hills, rocks, and roots. Participants must be able to hike  1 mile on uneven terrain with minimal assistance.
  • Some rock climbing experience is beneficial, but not required (indoor or outdoor.) Experienced guides will lead the group up the routes and provide all necessary safety equipment and instruction.
