Southeast  Paraclimbing Competition

Whether you are an experienced climber or new to the sport this regional competition is a great opportunity to compete against other adaptive climbers and a chance to gain competition experience prior to entering National Level events.

 

Register to compete under one of the six categories. Anyone Under 16 is eligible for the Youth open category. If you have a question about the categories or are unsure of your eligibility please contact us.

Please note: To compete climbers should be able to climb independently and unassisted by side climbers or the Wellman harness. 

 

Time:

Registration/rules 11am - 1pm

Comp starts 1:00 pm

Comp Ends 4:00 pm

Finals: 6:00pm

Entry Fee:

Thanks to the Dralla Foundation, we are able to offer a reduced registration rate of $25 for climbers this year. 

 

Paraclimbing Categories: Visual Impairment, Neurological / Physical Disability (R/P), Upper Extremity Amputee, Lower Extremity Amputee, Seated, Youth (Under 16 on day of competition).

Competition Format: Each category will have 3 routes to try. The climber can try each route as many times as they would like. The highest score of each route is taken. The score is counted by points marked at specific holds. Results will be determined during the main round and Medals will be awarded before Finals.

New this year! Optional Finals Round

After the main competition, there will be a finals round, which will be open to all competitors but is also optional. The Finals round will be on-site and set up to recreate the environment at Paraclimbing Nationals Finals. There will be prizes!

Hotel Accommodation for Climbers

We are able to cover the cost of one hotel room on the Saturday after the competition for any registered climbing competitors. When you register for the comp, please indicate if you will be requiring a hotel room. The rooms will all be within the same hotel at a location near the climbing gym. Hotel details TBD. 

 

Volunteers:

We are looking for belay certified volunteers to help with this comp. You do not need to be certified with the Riveter but you do need to have a certification from any other gym. Please sign up as a volunteer below. Question regarding this role? Contact us.
